JPP’s People

JPP’s key personnel have a wealth of experience and achievement in science, technology and high-level business. Their discoveries in JPP and their advancement of the technology to date are testament to their combined skills and experience:

Phil Jones
JPP’s principal scientist: Phil Jones PhD

Phil enjoys an international reputation in the field of ion chromatography linked to post column detection, on which he has produced 104 papers to date. He is co-author (with two distinguished international colleagues) of the definitive technical publication covering this specialist subject. During his academic career Phil lectured at numerous universities around the world and regularly made presentations at international conferences. His grasp of the analytical science behind amino acid analysis, enhanced by 14 years in JPP spent researching this complex subject in unprecedented depth, can only be described as ‘unique’. The outcome of his work in JPP to date amply demonstrates his comprehensive understanding of this narrow area of chemistry.

Les
JPP’s technical director: Les Pitts PhD

Les is an experienced analytical chemist with a strong interest in electronics and its application to practical chemistry. His ‘UV light emission unit’ (easily fitted to existing AAA instruments for use with JPP’s Patent 3 method of analysis) contributed to the discovery of an entirely new method of analysis, which allows the consistent achievement of analytical results comfortably exceeding those ever before achieved when using reagents prepared in accordance with the traditional Moore & Stein method.

Mike
JPP’s managing director: Mike Pallot FCA

Mike is an experienced and business-focused chartered accountant who was for many years a partner in one of the world’s leading accounting firms.
